All Church Activities Cancelled 4 Oct 15

Well, it hasn't been raining 40 days and 40 nights but in some areas it's starting to look like it.  In consideration for everyone's safety, Pastor Norman has decided to cancel ALL ACTIVITIES (morning and evening) today, 4 October 2015.  Weather permitting the church office will be open tomorrow morning and all church activities will resume as usual Monday, 5 Oct.  Stay tuned for more information.

The Psalmist Speaks

Beginning in September Pastor Norman will start a new series of sermons from Psalms.  The Psalms are a beautiful collection of songs and poems that speaks of God and man's relationship with Him.  Pastor Norman will preach through a selection of psalms over the next few months.  Come join us at 11:00 Sunday mornings.

Sunday Evening Study

Pastor Norman has resumed our study of the book of Acts.  We are well past Pentacost and the coming of the Holy Spirit.  Now we study the spread and growth of the early church and learn how WE can be like that early church.  Join us on Sunday evenings at 6:00 in the Christian Learning Center (new building) for a wonderful time of fellowship and study.

Annual Budget

The proposed annual budget of Wassamassaw Baptist Church is now completed and has been distributed.  Due to circumstances beyond our control, a special business meeting to vote on the budget has been postponed until after Sunday Evening Service on the 11th of October.  We encourage everyone to be involved in this process as we attempt to be good stewards of all that God has blessed us with.

Operation Christmas Child

It is time again for Operation Christmas Child!  Operation Christmas Child partners with churches worldwide to reach boys and girsl with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  After Receiving shoebox gifts, many children are discipled throught Samaratan's Purse's (Rev. Franklin Graham's organization) Bible study course, The Greatest Journey, where they learn to beceom faithful followers of Christ and share their faith with others.  Wassamassaw Baptist Church is once again working to reach our goal of filling 150 boxes (we filled 135 boxes last year).  You can either pick up a box from the back of the sanctuary or obtain your own box for filling.  There is a brochure with the boxes with suggestions for gift items to place in the box.  Please DO NOT seal or wrap the box.  Boxes are shipped around the world and there is a $7 donation required to send each box.  You can either place $7 in an envelope inside the box or pay online at JUST CLICK HERE.   The advantage to paying online is that you can track your package all the way to it's final destination.  Please have your box back to the church by NOVEMBER 15th.

Church Work Day 10 October

The men of Wassamassaw Baptist Church are hosting a church work day the 10th of October at 9:00am.

Breakfast WILL NOT be provided at this event and the monthly Men's Breakfast has been CANCELED.

Small Group Discipleship Classes Are Well Underway!

We are conducting three small group studies, all occurring at 7PM on Wednesdays. Its never too late to join a group.   Even if you often work or have other commitments on Wednesdays, we would love to have you when you can attend.  This is a great way to learn God's word and connect with a group of likeminded people; where personal relationships grow.
