What Happens When We Die?

Join us for Pastor Norman's new sermon series beginning in February.

Feb 1:  What is Death?

Feb 8:  What is Death (part deux)?

Feb 15:  What is Heaven like?

Feb 22:  Is hell for real?

Don't miss any of these important messages as Pastor Norman continues to teach about the future and what we can and should expect.  See you there at 11:00 am each Sunday morning.

Bible Study Series

Pastor Norman continues his exciting series in the book of Acts on Sunday evenings at 6:00.  The book of Acts begins with Jesus being taken up into heaven and soon the Holy Spirit comes on the day of Pentacost.  Now with the early church really on fire the Gospel spreads across Judea, Galilee and Samaria.  The second half of the book introduces us to the ministry of Paul and the expansion of the church from Antioch to Rome.  Come hear Pastor Norman chronicle the early church and apply those lessons to Wassamassaw in 2015.

Pastor Norman's Vision for the New Year

As we start this new year, Pastor Norman challenged us with his vision for our church in 2015 and beyond:

1.  Restart our "5-mile radius" visitation strategy this spring and summer.

2.  Expand our ministry at our "mission outpost" at Pleasant Oaks by establishing a weekly Bible Study in that community.

3.  Start a new "mission outpost" in our "Jerusalem".  Maybe an after school program at one of our schools.

4.  Hold a "sports camp" this summer - led by our youth minister Christian and our youth to reach boys and girls in our community for Christ.

5.  Start an on-going "lifestyle witness training" - to equip our members to share the Gospel with their friends, family, and neighbors.

6.  Recognize that VBS (Vacation Bible School) is still the #1 evangelistic event of the church year and intentionally use it to lead children to Jesus.

7.  Strengthen our partnership with the SCBC (South Carolina Baptist Convention) in reaching the lost in New Delhi, India and encourage our members to ALL be involved by going, giving, and praying.

8.  Increase our mission giving through the Janie Chapman, Annie Armstrong, and Lottie Moon offerings.

9.  Prayerfully study the need of expanding our facilities in order to promote and expand our Sunday school, AWANA ministry, youth ministry, and the overall ministry of our church.

Ladies' Bible Study Resumes

The ladies will resume their Monday evening studies the first Monday of February (Feb 2nd) at 7:00 pm.  We will be using a Beth Moore study guide on the book of Esther.  Come out and be part of what God has in store for you and the ladies of Wassamassaw!  See Ministries/Women for more information.

Small Group Discipleship Classes Are Well Underway!

We are conducting three small group studies, all occurring at 7PM on Wednesdays. Its never too late to join a group.   Even if you often work or have other commitments on Wednesdays, we would love to have you when you can attend.  This is a great way to learn God's word and connect with a group of likeminded people; where personal relationships grow.
